Looking forward to run this Saturday in Dalian / North-east China. 100k ultra-trail in the Dalian city hills. It’s another UTMB qualification run with 3 points. The race has a distance of 101km with a total ascent of 5750m (acc. organizers). I have a gpx-file from last years race which tells me the ascent is just 4300m, so just run and let’s see. 🙂
It will be constant up and down. From tarmac city streets up on trails into the hills and back to the city again. I guess it’s about 50% on asphalt, good to speed up a little bit.
Cut-off time is 26 hours which should be manageable. To get a silver trophy I have to reach the finish line within 20 hours, but that’s out of my target.
The more ultras I’m running, the less the equipment.
